A Miscellany of Baker Perkins’ Bits and Pieces
The Motor Club
- This hand painted wooden plaque, 44 cm.
diameter, was fixed to the ‘old’ Motor
Club workshop situated half way down the main
Westwood Works car park.
- When the main Westwood
Works car park was extended in 1973, the ‘old’ workshop was demolished and replaced by a more
modern one sited at the north end of the extended car park. This is the plaque that was affixed to the new building.
- Westwood Works Motor Club badge, sold to
members of the Motor Club for displaying on their cars. It will be
noted that the beaver and maple leaf represent a connection with the
Canadian
roots of the Company.
The
Camping and Caravanning Section was a sub-section of the Motor Club.
